IGNITE THE FIRE IS COMPRISED OF THREE PILLARS

1. Discipleship Training - We concentrate on Biblical centered studies for training and equipping the Believer. Discipleship is essential for not only church growth, but the expansion of the Kingdom of God. ITF developed an in-house discipleship program called - Becoming a Disciple of Jesus. This is a 13-month Bible intensive program.  The Texas University of Theology (TXUT) has endorsed this program. Students who successfully complete the 60-hour training will be awarded two years of advanced placement (up to the bachelor's level).   

2. Evangelistic Outreach - We spend a great deal of time traveling the country and other countries delivering the Word of God. Raising up the body of believers to reach their full potential for the glory of God the Father.  We focus on speaking LIFE and FIRE into the hearts and minds of believers. 

3. Training Leaders - Through sound Biblical teaching we help those who want to lead or are already leading to become fire starters. We help with all aspects of leading and body of believers from discipleship material to use for teaching, sermon writing, public speaking techniques, leading youth, etc.  ITF launched the ITF School of Ministry to help with the process of leadership development.

Dr. Kenneth Holder is an evangelist, pastor, professor, author, and ministry leader devoted to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, making disciples, equipping believers, developing ministry leaders, and advancing the Kingdom of God.

Based in Seguin, Texas, Dr. Holder's ministry is built upon a conviction that Christianity was never intended to be a spectator faith. Jesus did not simply call people to attend church—He called them to follow Him, become His disciples, and make disciples of others.

That conviction has become a defining focus of Dr. Holder's life and ministry.

Dr. Holder's ministry story did not begin with a title, theological degree, organization, or pulpit.

It began with surrender.

In September 2001, Dr. Holder surrendered his life to Jesus Christ at Community Bible Church in San Antonio, Texas. That decision radically redirected the course of his life and began a journey of biblical study, discipleship, ministry, leadership, and service that continues today.

What began as a personal commitment to follow Christ developed into a calling to help others do the same.

Dr. Holder has since dedicated his life to helping believers move beyond simply knowing about Jesus to becoming men and women who know His Word, understand their identity and authority in Christ, grow in spiritual maturity, serve the Kingdom, and make disciples of others.

Dr. Holder earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Theological Studies (PhD) from Texas University of Theology (TXUT) in Dallas.

His involvement in theological education extended beyond earning a degree. Through leadership, vision, and educational development, Dr. Holder contributed to the successful establishment of four TXUT affiliate campuses in Gonzales, Port Lavaca, Burleson, and San Antonio, Texas, expanding opportunities for biblical and theological education.

Education remains an important part of his ministry because Dr. Holder believes believers should not have to choose between spiritual passion and biblical understanding.

The Church needs both.

His approach to teaching therefore emphasizes serious engagement with Scripture while continually asking the practical question:

How should this truth change the way a disciple of Jesus actually lives?

Dr. Holder is an ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Messianic Church and has served the local church in multiple leadership capacities, including Associate Pastor, Executive Pastor, and Senior Pastor.

With more than 15 years of experience in deliverance ministry, spiritual warfare has also become a significant area of his teaching and ministry.

His approach emphasizes bringing the subject back under the authority of Scripture—helping believers distinguish biblical spiritual warfare from fear, superstition, sensationalism, and teachings that cannot be supported by the Word of God.

The objective is not to make believers obsessed with darkness.

It is to help them become biblically grounded, spiritually mature, Christ-centered disciples who understand the battle while keeping their attention firmly fixed upon Jesus Christ.

In 2014, Dr. Holder founded Ignite the Fire Ministries (ITF) with a vision to awaken believers, reach the lost, equip the Church, and develop committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

The heart of ITF is transformation through biblical discipleship.

Rather than measuring success simply by attendance, programs, or religious activity, the ministry seeks to answer a more demanding question:

Are disciples being made?

Through preaching, teaching, evangelism, discipleship training, spiritual warfare instruction, leadership development, and outreach, ITF seeks to equip believers not merely to receive ministry but to become equipped to minister to others.

The goal is multiplication:

Disciples who make disciples. Leaders who develop leaders. Believers who carry the Gospel beyond the walls of the church.

That vision expanded in 2022 with the launch of the ITF School of Ministry.

The School of Ministry was established to provide serious biblical and practical training for believers who desire to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ and become better equipped to serve His Kingdom.

Its purpose extends beyond transferring biblical information.

The goal is formation, application, and multiplication—helping students understand Scripture, apply biblical truth to their lives, develop spiritual maturity, discover and strengthen their ministry calling, and become equipped to teach and disciple others.

Through the School of Ministry, ITF PowerHour, discipleship classes, leadership training, and other educational initiatives, Dr. Holder continues developing resources that make substantial biblical teaching accessible to believers both inside and outside traditional ministry settings.

Dr. Holder also serves as President of I AM – International Association of Ministries, a ministry network and educational hub committed to strengthening and connecting pastors, chaplains, ministers, and ministry leaders.

Through I AM, his leadership extends beyond developing individual disciples to strengthening those who carry responsibility for leading others.

The vision is to provide ministry leaders with relationship, accountability, education, encouragement, and resources so they can serve effectively while remaining grounded in biblical truth.

Dr. Holder's ministry has taken him throughout the United States and internationally, providing opportunities to preach, teach, equip believers, strengthen ministry leaders, and serve the broader Body of Christ.

Writing has become another extension of Dr. Holder's commitment to discipleship and biblical education.

His works include Spiritual Warfare and Discipleship Training, published by WestBow Press, which equips believers to understand spiritual warfare within the larger responsibility of Christian discipleship.

In 2023, he released Becoming a Disciple of Jesus, an extensive discipleship resource designed to move believers beyond passive Christianity and into a deeper, disciplined, biblically grounded relationship with Jesus Christ.

In 2026, Dr. Holder expanded his teaching ministry with God Is a Warrior, an in-depth examination of an aspect of God's character that is frequently overlooked in contemporary Christian discussion: God as Judge, a God of wrath, and a God of war.

The work challenges believers to resist constructing an image of God based only upon the attributes they find comfortable. Instead, Dr. Holder calls readers back to the whole counsel of Scripture and to a biblical understanding of God's holiness, righteousness, justice, judgment, mercy, love, sovereignty, and authority.

This reflects a principle that runs throughout his teaching:

We do not have the authority to redefine God. We have the responsibility to know Him as He has revealed Himself in His Word.

Whether preaching from a pulpit, teaching a classroom, answering questions during the ITF PowerHour, writing a book, ministering deliverance, training ministry leaders, or sitting across the table from a believer who wants to grow, Dr. Holder's objective remains consistent:

Help people know Jesus Christ, understand His Word, become His disciples, and become equipped to disciple others.

For Dr. Holder, discipleship is not another church program.

It is the Christian life.

It means following Jesus when it is convenient and when it is costly. It means allowing Scripture—not culture, emotion, tradition, or popular opinion—to establish truth. It means growing from someone who continually needs to be fed into someone capable of helping feed others.

And ultimately, it means obeying the commission Jesus gave His Church:

Go and make disciples.

Dr. Holder has been married to his wife, Christina, since 1999. Together they have built a life centered on faith, family, ministry, and service to the Kingdom of God.

They are blessed with five children, four grandchildren, and three daughters-in-law.

After decades of ministry, Dr. Holder's vision continues to look beyond what can be accomplished through one preacher, one ministry, or one generation.

The greater objective is multiplication—to equip people who will equip others, develop leaders who will develop leaders, and make disciples who will continue making disciples long after the original teacher is gone.

Through Ignite the Fire Ministries, ITF School of Ministry, I AM – International Association of Ministries, ITF PowerHour, his books, preaching, teaching, discipleship training, and ministry throughout the United States and internationally, Dr. Holder continues pursuing the calling that began with his own surrender to Jesus Christ in 2001.
